This Week at Covenant
- Baptism/Membership Classes:
Those interested in pursuing baptism and/or membership this spring are
invited to contact me (Pastor Kelvin Dyck) at the church office at 325-4374 or
by email covenant@mymts.net.
- Lenten Services:
This year during the Lenten season, there will be Sunday evening services
each of the six Sundays of Lent. They will be meditational in nature and invite
quiet, reflective prayer. Kevin and Rochelle will continue giving leadership to
the Taizé services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Kelvin will lead
the other Lenten evening services.
- From Planning and Steering:
March 18, 2012: There will be a congregational meeting after the Sunday
morning service in which our church facility upgrades will be prioritized.

- World Day of Prayer- March 2, 7pm at St John the Evangelist Catholic
Church (2 Academy Dr, Morden -across from Minnewasta School). Please
join us, and invite your friends and family to attend the World Day of Prayer
service and learn more about Malaysia and its unique culture and heritage.

communities across Canada who will gather on World Day of Prayer to pray
and act in solidarity with the people of Malaysia. For more information

- March 4, 2012: The Prairie Singers present Frieden…Pacem…Peace…”,
a concert of Songs of Peace for the Lenten Season and excerpts from Franz
Schubert’s “Deutsche Messe.” Venues are Winkler Bergthaler Church at
2:30pm and the Morden Mennonite Church at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 each
with students receiving them for ½ price. For tickets call Elaine Dyck at
325-5335 or purchase them at the Winkler Bible Bookshop.
- Hot, Happy & Holy: Grasping the Heart of a Healthy Marriage
On Thursday March 8th at 7:30 Dr. Currie will be set loose to do what he
does so well: encourage and give the tools for a hot and healthy marriage.
Many of you heard of or experienced Dr. Currie's impact in the community
through the marriage & family seminar Doing Family Right last spring. Come
for an evening of marital refreshment! The free event will take place at the
Emmanuel Mennonite Church.

- MCC, CMU and A Rocha present: “Germinating Conversations:
Food, Faith, Farming and the Land”. Rural and urban people of faith
engage in a listening project between farmers and consumers on the difficult
matter of food production and consumption. Held at the Winkler Bergthaler
Mennonite Church on March 21, 2012 at 7:00pm, this is the first of two
sessions in which food producers speak to the hard questions of the work of
farming, the challenges of marketing crops, and the role of faith in farming.

Canadian Mennonite University invites high school students to attend Peace-
It-Together (PIT) 2012, March 9-11. CMU speakers include Irma Fast
Dueck, associate professor of practical theology, and lecturers Kenton Lobe
and Justin Neufeld.
